ADULT AERIAL

Class Descriptions:

Our mission is to provide an innovative and fresh approach to aerial, dance and fitness by providing classes that will leave you wanting more! You will achieve physical results from every class, while having fun and enjoying it! We offer a wide variety of classes for adults and youth.

Intro to Aerial Arts 

Theses classes are "flyer friendly" which means that everyone ages 13 and up are welcome to join regardless of your athletic background or experience. Each class will begin with stretching and strengthening exercises aided by our aerial silks. You will be taught a variety of skills such as wrist locks, foot locks, basic wraps while in the air. Aerial silks is empowering, fun and builds important skills like concentration, coordination, teamwork and confidence.

Must take this 75-minute class before entering into Aerial Silks, Sling, Lyra & Static Trapeze 

 

Aerial Stretch

Join us for an exciting aerial adventure at whatever pace suits you best. The aerial hammock offers a unique opportunity for your body to build strength and increase flexibility in a relaxing and supportive environment. Each class includes deep relaxation, supported inversions and fun! This all ages class is great for anyone wanting to improve their body awareness and mental strength.

​Aerial Sling 

Use an aerial hammock to build upper body and core strength whiling moving through diverse figures and shapes. Expect to swing, spin, and hang upside down. It is a great way for beginners to get a feel for aerial work and more experienced students can build beautiful sequences that eventually include drops and rolls. Plan to have fun and to leave stronger!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Aerial Silks

You must have completed the Intro to Aerial Silks before reserving your spot in this class.  You will learn new climbing methods, foot locks and tricks that will further your aerial foundation as you prepare for more advance moves.

Aerial Lyra

Lyra, also called Hoop, is a steel ring hung vertically by one or two ropes. At Warped Studios we teach Lyra as a single-point apparatus. In this class you will learn body positioning, balance and conditioning that will allow you to properly execute moves. In this class you will learn poses and moves on and above the hoop. As you become more advanced, you will learn to spin the apparatus as you execute skills and poses. 

Static Dance Trapeze

Static Dance Trapeze is a bar connected to the ceiling by two ropes. In this class you will learn poses and sequences on and below the bar as well as on the ropes. As you become more advanced, you will learn to flip around the bar and work on momentum-based skills and tricks. Warped Studios does not offer flying trapeze classes.

Performance Choreography

We believe through choreography, you can further your aerial training. By practicing something over and over, setting it to music, working through transitions and having creative play. This is a great way to be a part of the aerial family here at Warped Studios

Pre-requisite: You must have instructor approval 

Open Flight

"Open Flight"  is open studio time for students to practice their skill sets outside of our regular scheduled classes.  There is no formal warm-up, cool down or instructor leading the class.  There will be an instructor present to monitor the studio for "Open Flight"

 

Pre-requisite: You must be attending class weekly
